The matching baby card

My sister Louise and her partner Richard are now proud Grandparents of Erica and had asked me to make her a keepsake.
I wanted to do something a bit special so I came up with a card and a matching exploding box and here it is.

Here is the matching card to go with the exploding box - see below post for details/photos of that.

I have used Cutie Pie digi papers and Cutie Pie Decoupage digi download from Pink Gem Designs for the card. I have used my Martha Stewart around the corner punch to create a lace effect on the front page before adding the baby girl image and decoupage. I added Woodware dotty pink ribbon so that the card can be tied up and I made the flowers from pink and white pearlescent paper and a petal punch.

I have left the back of the front cover with just some digi paper so that the parents can add a photo there if they so wish.

I hope they will like these items. I am entering this project into the following challenges
Pink Gem Ribbon and lace
Pile it on Punches

The baby card/box I have made for my sister's partner's grandaughter Erica

My sister Louise and her partner Richard are now proud Grandparents of Erica and had asked me to make her a keepsake.
I wanted to do something a bit special so I came up with a card and a matching exploding box and here it is.

I also used the same Pink Gem digi papers and decoupage for the matching exploding box as my card. First of all I cut the three layers and then using a corner rounder punch round off the corners. I have decorated all the layers with paper and flower ribbon and peel offs. I have also made the little pink paper shoe in the middle with gingham paper and printed her birth details on the bottom of the box. In one of the photos it looks like the layers are a bit wonky it is just where I took the photo as I have not stuck the layers down yet as I would like my sister to be happy with it first.
I have added some baby decoupage on the top and some pink dotty ribbon around the edge of the lid and then added some scroll waste from a Cuttlebug elaborate corner in each corner and added the name Erica with letters cut from my Quickcutz alphabet.

I will post the photos and details of the matching card in a moment as blogger won't allow me to add all the photos on this one post.

I am entering this box into the following challenge
Pink Gem Ribbons and lace
Paperplay Layer it up
Pile it on Punches

Thanks for looking x

Sorry I have not been blogging recently but there has been a death in the family

Sorry I have not been blogging recently but last Sunday we were told the awful news that my Father in Law had had a heart attack in the first week of his 8 week holiday in New Zealand, it turned out he had had a cardiac arrest and as his heart had actually stopped he was likely to be brain damaged, after various tests it was obvious he was not going to be the person he was and there was not much hope of recovery. He never regained consciousness. Sadly he passed away on Friday at 9am UK time. Last week was very difficult as you can imagine and crafting was the last thing on my mind.

Thanks for looking x

I will be back later today with a project I have made for my sister and her partner to give to his Son and Daughter in law on the birth of their little baby girl. I wanted to do something really special. Once I have taken photos I shall post them on my blog x
